About the role
This full‑time, temporary position supports a Year 3 pupil with epilepsy and complex communication needs in a welcoming primary school in Kensington & Chelsea. You will work closely with the school’s Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist to deliver tailored programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one classroom support, following medical guidance and daily care plans.
- Implement speech, language and occupational therapy strategies as directed.
- Monitor the pupil’s health and safety, reporting any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with additional needs, particularly epilepsy.
- Ability to follow medical instructions and maintain a calm, nurturing environment.
- Strong communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
Required skills
- Knowledge of basic medical care procedures for pupils with epilepsy.
- Familiarity with speech‑language and occupational therapy techniques.
