1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 3 (ADHD) – Islington

About the role

This full‑time, temporary position provides one‑to‑one support for a Year 3 pupil with ADHD in a welcoming primary school in Islington. You will help the child engage with lessons, build confidence and make academic and social progress.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated, one‑to‑one assistance throughout the school day.
• Implement personalised support strategies aligned with the SENCO’s plan.
• Facilitate lesson participation and encourage positive behaviour.
• Promote independence and self‑advocacy in classroom activities.
• Collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor progress.

Required profile

• Patient, caring and proactive attitude.
• Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
• Previous experience working with pupils who have ADHD or other SEN.
• Ability to commute to Islington and start in September.
