18t Driver – Logistics Delivery

About the role

We are looking for an experienced 18‑tonne driver to join DX’s freight team at our Heathrow depot. You will operate a multi‑drop delivery route, transporting parcels and bulk components for a leading UK manufacturer of roller shutter doors, ensuring each consignment arrives safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects immediately.
• Load and secure deliveries in the morning, using appropriate PPE and loading equipment.
• Drive a 18‑t vehicle safely, complying with all legal and company regulations.
• Scan and record each product with DX scanning equipment.
• Communicate professionally with customers, building rapport through regular deliveries.
• Manage routing to meet premium and timed delivery commitments.

Required profile

• Friendly, hard‑working and able to work independently.
• Physically capable of handling bulk items and performing manual loading.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Required skills

• Valid HGV licence appropriate for an 18‑tonne vehicle.
• Ability to operate DX scanning equipment.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures and use of PPE.
