1st Line Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Engineer to join an IT & Cyber Security team in Waterlooville. As the first point of contact for customers, you will deliver friendly, professional support while gaining on‑the‑job training and industry‑recognised certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support requests via phone, email and ticketing system.
• Log, triage and accurately document tickets.
• Resolve straightforward technical issues with guidance from senior team members.
• Escalate complex incidents to higher‑level support.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with clients.
• Follow internal documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in training, shadowing and continuous learning activities.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in IT and a willingness to learn.
• Exposure to IT support or customer service is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Friendly, professional attitude and a self‑motivated, team‑oriented mindset.

• Salary range £26,000‑£35,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday office hours.
