1st Line Support Engineer

About the role

The client is seeking a 1st Line Support Engineer on a 12‑month contract to provide day‑to‑day IT support for internal staff and external clients in Crawley. You will work on‑site five days a week, handling a range of hardware and software incidents within a Microsoft‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, triage and resolve first‑line support tickets, primarily related to hardware (laptops, iPads, iPhones) and software issues.
• Escalate more complex incidents to specialised teams while ensuring clear communication and timely updates.
• Maintain and support Windows 10 desktops, Office 365 applications and related services.
• Assist users with SharePoint sites, Active Directory accounts and Azure/Intune device management.
• Provide face‑to‑face assistance and deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external users.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Microsoft‑based IT support role.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on‑site and manage multiple tickets.
