2nd Engineer – ERRV/MRV Fleet (Permanent, 4 weeks on/4 weeks off)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified 2nd Engineer to join our ERRV/MRV fleet on a permanent basis. The role operates on a 4‑weeks on / 4‑weeks off rotation, starting 16/06/2026, and involves maintaining the vessel’s propulsion and technical systems while ensuring safety and operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the operational status of the ship, its machinery, propulsion systems and permanently installed technical equipment.
• Ensure the safety of personnel within your sphere of influence.
• Keep the vessel and its machinery in sound condition, ready for operations.
• Report defects to the Chief Engineer and assist in corrective actions.
• Identify stores, spares and equipment requirements for the Engine Department.
• Execute the approved Planned Maintenance System on board.
• Monitor safe working practices of shore contractors during maintenance periods.
• Examine and accept stores and spares delivered to the vessel.
• Assist in fuelling procedures, ensuring all precautions are followed.
• Promote the company’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policy and foster inter‑departmental communication.

Required profile

• Valid 2nd Engineer Certificate of Competency (CoC).
• Preferably experience on an ERRV or a similar vessel type.
