2nd Line Engineer – NOC Role (Urgent)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated 2nd Line Engineer who wants to transition into a Network Operations Centre (NOC) position. The role is based in a datacentre near Wembley and offers full training and support to help you succeed in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and prioritise incoming NOC tickets and system alerts, escalating when necessary.
• Watch over servers, networks, firewalls, cloud services, applications and datacentre infrastructure.
• Respond quickly to incidents, outages and performance issues.
• Track incidents through to resolution and keep documentation up to date.
• Communicate incident status to customers, internal teams and third‑party suppliers.
• Perform basic datacentre tasks such as server racking, hardware installation and network patching.
• Maintain service availability in a business‑critical 24/7 operation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in 2nd Line Infrastructure Support or Service Desk roles.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident‑management abilities.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with cloud‑based infrastructure and backup solutions.
• Comfortable working a rotating 24/7 shift pattern.
• Proactive communication and problem‑solving approach.
