ACA Trainee Accountant

About the role

Our client is looking for a motivated Graduate Accountant to join their office in Marlow on a full‑time ACA training contract. This role provides a structured pathway to achieve the ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification while gaining hands‑on experience across a range of general practice accountancy services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal tax returns and corporate tax computations.
• Prepare VAT returns and support VAT compliance.
• Perform bookkeeping and accounts preparation for small and medium‑size clients.
• Support audit engagements, including data collection and testing.
• Contribute to client meetings and provide basic advisory services.

Required profile

• Strong academic background – ABB at A‑Level and a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline.
• Current full driving licence and residence within 10 miles of Marlow.
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn emerging accounting practices.

What we offer

• Starting salary of £23,000‑£25,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after qualification.
