Academic Dean – School of Hospitality

About the role

London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), part of Global University Systems, is seeking an Academic Dean for its School of Hospitality. The role leads a dynamic, growing academic area and shapes the future direction of hospitality education, with student experience and success at the heart of all decisions. It is a full-time, permanent position based in London.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the School, translating strategy into operational plans and leading it through growth, transformation and change.
• Lead the development of inclusive, accessible teaching and learning approaches and improve engagement, retention, attainment and progression.
• Hold the School accountable for performance against KPIs, embed data literacy and oversee academic governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Lead, develop and inspire a diverse academic workforce, build leadership capability among Associate Deans and Course Directors and manage performance.
• Build partnerships with academic institutions, awarding bodies and industry, and represent the School externally.

Required profile

• Master's degree or relevant professional qualifications.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Significant experience in senior academic leadership in higher education, in a widening participation context.
• Proven ability to improve student outcomes and academic performance.
• Desirable: doctorate, experience of partnership or franchise delivery, track record of improving continuation, completion and student satisfaction, strong knowledge of UK higher education regulatory frameworks.
• Must be able to prove the right to work in the UK; the college is not a licensed sponsor.
