Academic Services Coordinator

About the role

The Academic Services Coordinator supports the delivery of academic operations across multiple specialist areas at BIMM University. You will ensure that quality assurance, assessment, governance, timetabling, partnerships and regulatory compliance are managed consistently and accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key academic operations within assigned areas, applying regulations, policies and procedures.
• Oversee workstreams to meet agreed standards, deadlines and service expectations.
• Lead administration of assessment, progression and award processes, including preparation for academic boards.
• Maintain and analyse data in institutional systems, producing reports and highlighting trends or risks.
• Provide guidance to colleagues on academic regulations, policies and procedures.
• Deliver governance support such as committee administration, documentation, record keeping and action tracking.
• Build effective relationships across the university to ensure a joined‑up approach to academic services.
• Contribute to process reviews and enhancements to improve efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience working in higher education or another regulated professional services environment.
• Strong knowledge of academic regulations, policies and procedures with confidence applying them.
• Proven ability to handle complex operational activity and make informed decisions within established frameworks.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
