Academy Education Officer – Lead Player Education Programme

About the role

The Academy Education Officer will lead and quality‑assure the education programme for the Arsenal Women Football Club Academy. Working closely with the Player Care Lead, you will ensure every player receives personalised academic support while balancing football commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the education strategy for both the PGA and club‑funded Academy, including delivery of the Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE).
• Design and maintain individual learner plans, set clear targets and review progress with stakeholders.
• Build and sustain relationships with schools, colleges and national governing body education staff.
• Monitor, record and review student progress, academic performance and behaviour, implementing early‑intervention strategies when needed.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all education providers and partners, ensuring clear communication pathways.
• Collaborate with the Safeguarding team to support the club’s safeguarding strategy.

Required profile

• Experience in managing education programmes for athletes or young people.
• Strong ability to work with players, parents/guardians and external education providers.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive environments.
