Academy Operations Team Leader

About the role

The Academy Operations Team Leader will ensure the smooth running of the Toyota (GB) Training Academy in Burgh Heath, delivering an outstanding customer experience and operational excellence. Reporting to senior Academy management, you will lead a small support team, shape processes and use data‑driven insights to support business decisions for one of the world’s most respected automotive brands.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and line‑manage the Academy Support Team, creating an inclusive, high‑performance culture.
• Provide coaching, development and regular performance reviews for team members.
• Act as the first point of contact for day‑to‑day team queries.
• Oversee Academy operations against service‑level agreements and maintain SOPs for consistency, compliance and efficiency.
• Identify and implement process‑streamlining, automation and self‑service opportunities.
• Conduct proactive data analysis, produce monthly KPI reports and deliver recommendations to support business objectives.
• Investigate cross‑functional data to drive programme improvement and change.
• Collaborate with Toyota GB Academy management, the Training Team Leader and wider stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Represent the Academy in stakeholder meetings and keep scheduling, demand planning and licensing aligned with commercial priorities.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience as a people leader, preferably within a learning‑and‑development or automotive environment.
• Strong customer‑centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
• Ability to analyse performance data, identify trends and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to work with senior stakeholders across Toyota GB, Toyota Motor Europe and partner networks.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
