Accommodation Support Officer – Bristol

About the role
As an Accommodation Support Officer you will help adult males, either in custody or living in the community, to secure stable housing. Working closely with probation practitioners, you will assess needs, develop personalised accommodation plans and guide participants through the housing process.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of participants and conduct initial assessments.
- Develop and implement tailored accommodation plans.
- Provide ongoing support, information and advice on housing options and rights.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, landlords and housing agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and report on progress.
Required profile
- Empathy, resilience and strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with diverse backgrounds, including individuals in the criminal‑justice system.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast‑changing environment.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality support and fostering independence.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary £25,877 – £29,000 per year (dependent on experience).
- 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, birthday day off and optional additional days.
