Accommodation Support Officer

About the role

The Accommodation Support Officer provides vital housing assistance to adult male participants, both in custody and in the community. Working closely with probation practitioners, you will assess individual circumstances and create tailored accommodation plans to help participants achieve stability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of adult males with diverse housing needs.
• Conduct initial assessments to understand each participant’s situation.
• Develop and implement personalised accommodation plans.
• Collaborate with probation practitioners and external stakeholders.
• Guide participants through housing processes, keeping them informed of decisions and their rights.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor progress toward housing stability.

Required profile

• Resilience and empathy when supporting individuals from varied backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Adaptability and a positive, role‑model attitude.
• Willingness to learn and engage with on‑site training.
• Openness to candidates from social services, mental health, education or recent graduates.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £25,877 – £29,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
