Account Director – Building Services

About the role

As an Account Director for Building Services you will lead a defined facilities management contract, ensuring that both financial and operational targets are not only met but exceeded. You will act as the primary liaison between the client, the company and subcontractors, driving strategic growth and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to ensure contractual commitments are fulfilled and surpassed.
• Identify and exploit strategic development opportunities to increase turnover and profitability.
• Implement and monitor health and safety policies across the contract and subcontractor activities.
• Maintain optimal staffing structures, balancing cost efficiency with service quality.
• Develop and execute financial plans covering revenue, profit, WIP reduction, debt management and cost control.
• Ensure statutory, policy and contractual compliance through robust control systems.
• Foster strong client relationships and promote the company’s values.
• Support the sales process through solution development and participation in presentations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing large facilities‑management or building‑services contracts.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to drive financial performance and contract growth.
• Effective communication skills for internal and client‑facing interactions.
