Account Executive – Commercial Insurance (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Executive to join the Advisory division of a leading global insurance brokerage in Leeds. Working hybrid, you will inherit a ready‑made £200k portfolio of commercial clients and be responsible for its growth and retention.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a £200k income portfolio of commercial clients across retail, haulage, wholesale, manufacturing and other sectors.
• Act as a trusted adviser, delivering tailored insurance and risk solutions.
• Identify upsell and cross‑sell opportunities and strengthen client programmes.
• Drive organic growth through networking, introducers and internal lead generation.
• Maintain long‑term client relationships with a focus on retention and service excellence.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Account Executive, Account Manager or similar in commercial insurance.
• Strong relationship‑management and client‑advisory capabilities.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to spot growth opportunities.
• Comfortable winning business through networking and referrals rather than cold calling.
• Proactive, professional and client‑focused approach.
