Account Executive – Insurance

About the role

LBH Insurance, a 76‑year‑old broker based in Southend, is looking for an Account Executive to manage and grow its commercial and consumer insurance portfolio. You will be responsible for delivering tailored insurance solutions while ensuring full FCA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively manage a mixed portfolio of commercial and consumer insurance clients, prospect new leads and meet monthly sales KPIs.
• Negotiate and present bespoke policies (Property, Liability, Professional Indemnity, Cyber, etc.) that match client risk profiles.
• Serve as the primary point of contact, maintaining regular communication and fostering long‑term client relationships.
• Build strong relationships with underwriters to secure competitive rates and coverage.
• Own FCA compliance by maintaining accurate records, file management and adhering to internal quality standards.
• Contribute to operational improvements and ensure efficient administrative processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a commercial or consumer insurance brokerage with knowledge of standard lines such as Liability, PI and Property.
• Sales‑driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding new‑business and retention targets.
• Strong understanding of FCA regulations and a history of rigorous compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and underwriters.
• Analytical and adaptable, able to interpret complex risk requirements.
