Account Manager – Asset Finance

About the role

Close Brothers Asset Finance is seeking an Account Manager to join its centralised team in Burton. The role supports regional sales teams by progressing finance applications, coordinating credit submissions and ensuring deals move efficiently through the approval process.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Credit, Operations, customers, brokers and suppliers to resolve proposal or documentation issues.
• Act as a brand ambassador, promoting company values and maintaining a positive image.
• Create and support inbound proposals and conduct initial due‑diligence activities.
• Provide outstanding telephone and email support to customers, brokers and suppliers, addressing enquiries and resolving issues.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers through calls, emails and occasional face‑to‑face meetings.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, conduct risk policies and regulatory expectations.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers and colleagues at all seniority levels.
• Proven experience in customer service, relationship management or a similar role.
• Detail‑oriented with a customer‑centric approach to handling enquiries and resolving issues.
• Numerate and analytical ability.

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM software and other customer support tools.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
