Account Manager – Customer‑Focused Sales Role

About the role

Our client, an ambitious and growing company, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their team in Swindon. The role centres on building strong relationships with customers, driving sales, and continuously improving performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain lasting relationships with existing and new customers.
• Contact leads by telephone and generate new business opportunities.
• Plan work thoroughly, meet tight deadlines and achieve sales targets in a competitive environment.
• Identify and implement continual improvement initiatives.
• Utilise Microsoft Office tools to manage customer data and reporting.

Required profile

• Previous sales experience, preferably in a commercial setting.
• Comfortable using the telephone to engage leads.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and organisational abilities.
• Proven ability to multi‑task and influence negotiations.
• Motivation to drive continual improvement.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) at a competent level.
