About the role

We are seeking an Accountancy Practice Manager to join a thriving North Devon practice with a clear route to partnership. The role combines technical oversight of statutory accounting and tax compliance with leadership of client relationships and junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all statutory accounting and tax compliance work for the practice’s client portfolio.
• Mentor and develop junior accountants, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Drive new business development and networking activities to expand the client base.
• Act as a trusted business advisor, delivering corporate finance, strategy and tax planning advice.
• Manage a varied caseload, taking lead on complex projects and ensuring timely completion.

Required profile

• Proven technical competence in statutory accounting and tax compliance.
• Experience interacting with senior management and senior client contacts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior staff.
• Ambition to progress to partnership within the practice.
