Accountant – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced accountant to join a fast‑growing SME with an international footprint. The 12‑month fixed‑term role offers exposure to financial accounting, treasury, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and multi‑currency operations across several legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Process pre‑payments and accruals
• Review trial balance and prepare profit & loss statements
• Conduct profitability analysis and management reporting
• Prepare budgets and cash‑flow forecasts
• Manage the sales ledger, issue customer invoices and handle credit control
• Process supplier invoices and maintain the purchase ledger
• Execute multi‑currency bank payments (GBP, EUR, USD)
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Handle employee expenses and company credit‑card transactions
• Record and reconcile inter‑company transactions
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Oversee bookkeeping and financial reporting for overseas operations, liaising with external accountants as needed

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar accountant role within an SME environment
• Minimum AAT qualification preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered
