Accountant - Business Intelligence

About the role

Morrisons is recruiting a Business Intelligence developer (titled Accountant - Business Intelligence) for its head office in Bradford. The role sits in a fast-paced retail environment and works closely with finance and technology teams and across the organisation. It is a permanent position of 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a closing date of 26 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Remove unnecessary effort by automating standard weekly reporting
• Solve business problems using a data, reporting, dashboard and visualisation lens
• Build Looker / Looker Studio dashboards and the associated data flow processes, turning data into insights via Google Sheets reports and outputs
• Improve performance and outcomes
• Answer ad-hoc queries with data and support business projects

Required profile

• Proven ability to turn complex data into information that supports business decisions
• Ability to work to targets and deadlines while keeping a high degree of accuracy
• Planning and prioritising daily workload to meet tight deadlines
• Experience building reports and dashboards in Excel / Google Sheets, and experience building reporting dashboards in Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment and take ownership of improvements

Required skills

• Intermediate MS Excel / Google Sheets (advanced preferred)
• Knowledge of Google Looker and/or Python is advantageous
