Accountant – Client‑Facing Role in Brighton

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join a forward‑thinking accountancy practice in Brighton. This permanent, full‑time position is client‑facing, focusing on building strong relationships and delivering strategic financial advice rather than routine bookkeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business clients and act as their primary point of contact.
• Develop commercial relationships and provide strategic financial guidance.
• Review and discuss management accounts, highlighting opportunities and risks.
• Lead quarterly and annual planning discussions with clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a high level of client service.
• Monitor client account performance, renewals and ongoing engagement.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or at final stages).
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice in a client‑facing capacity.
• Strong relationship‑building and communication abilities.
• Proven experience reviewing management accounts.
