About the role
A recruitment agency is acting for a successful construction company based in Waterlooville, Hampshire, which is looking for an Accountant. You will work closely with the Finance Director in a full-time, office-based role.
Key responsibilities
- Bank reconciliations, correcting any issues as needed
- Prepare monthly management accounts including balance sheet, P&L and cashflow forecasting
- Undertake VAT returns and CIS returns
- Oversee junior finance staff responsible for ledgers, invoicing and similar tasks
- Assist with year-end, respond to auditor queries and help the Finance Director with statutory accounts production
Required profile
- Previous experience with Xero is highly beneficial
- Experience in a construction environment or doing CIS returns is also beneficial
