Accountant – Finance Team

About the role

Join a fast‑growing infrastructure business that delivers cutting‑edge trenchless technologies. As an Accountant you will support the finance function, ensuring accurate reporting and efficient cash management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations.
• Support Accounts Payable, including payment authorisation.
• Support Accounts Receivable and credit control.
• Post journals and maintain the Fixed Assets register.
• Liaise with banks on financing matters.
• Value monthly stock take and work‑in‑progress.
• Prepare VAT, CIS and RCT returns for the UK and ROI.
• Assist in budget preparation and review weekly cash‑flow forecasts.
• Complete monthly project analysis, management accounts and year‑end audit.
• Report to the Finance Manager and Finance Director and handle ad‑hoc financial tasks.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Qualified or part‑qualified accountant.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Microsoft Excel
• Microsoft Outlook
• Sage accounting software (experience desirable)
