Accountant – Financial Operations & Reporting

About the role
The Accountant will ensure the accuracy and efficiency of the company’s financial operations. Working within the Manufactured Products group, you will prepare balance sheets, trial balances, and a range of financial reports while maintaining the accounting database in line with internal procedures and deadlines.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and review bank transactions across multiple sites.
- Validate accounts payable entries and oversee company payment runs.
- Prepare and submit VAT/GST/HST records.
- Review sales files and manage CUF processes.
- Prepare balance sheets, trial balances and monthly financial reports.
- Perform month‑end and year‑end close activities, including account reconciliations and intercompany schedules.
- Support annual statutory audits and related reporting.
- Monitor financial transactions, approve within limits and resolve complex issues.
- Administer accounts receivable, ensuring timely customer payments and managing related email boxes.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
