Accountant

About the role

NLB Solutions is seeking an Accountant to join its well‑established team in Tring. The successful candidate will support existing clients with a range of accounting and tax services, working in a hybrid environment with access to modern offices and study support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts and CT600 corporation tax returns.
• Complete Self‑Assessment tax returns for clients.
• Manage client payroll and VAT submissions.
• Provide tax planning advice and ensure statutory deadlines are met, including RTI and VAT returns.
• Offer IR35 guidance and support on ad‑hoc projects.
• Onboard new clients and manage their expectations.

Required profile

• Proactive, forward‑thinking professional who takes ownership of tasks.
• Committed to staying up‑to‑date with current legislation and sharing knowledge.
• At least one examination passed towards an accountancy qualification.
• Minimum two years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
