Accountant – London (Full‑Time, Permanent)

About the role

NYO Chartered Accountants is seeking an ambitious accountant to join its growing London team. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients, preparing statutory accounts, tax returns and management reports while developing your expertise within an ICAEW‑regulated practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts in accordance with FRS 102 & FRS 105
• Compile corporation tax computations and complete CT600 filings
• Prepare and review VAT returns
• Produce management accounts for clients
• Review bookkeeping entries and perform reconciliations
• Liaise with HMRC and Companies House on client matters
• Support audit assignments as required
• Collaborate closely with senior accountants and clients

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero, Sage or QuickBooks accounting software
