Accounting Control Manager – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

The Accounting Control Manager will safeguard the integrity of Virgin Media O₂’s financial reporting and control environment. Working in the Accounting, Reporting & Control (ARC) team, you will ensure accurate, compliant and efficient reporting across a complex, evolving business while influencing key processes and governance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment and control‑improvement activities in partnership with finance, technology, audit and business stakeholders.
• Support major system implementations and remediation programmes to enhance reporting reliability.
• Drive simplification initiatives and strengthen the overall control framework.
• Provide governance oversight and influence process design to support strategic business change.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and engage senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting control, risk assessment and control improvement.
• Hands‑on experience with system implementation or remediation projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with finance, technology, audit and business teams.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills with exposure to senior leadership.
