Accounting Control Manager (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Virgin Media O₂ is seeking an Accounting Control Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to protect the integrity of its financial reporting and control environment. Working within the Accounting, Reporting & Control (ARC) team, you will ensure accurate, compliant and efficient reporting across a complex, evolving business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment and control improvement activities across finance, technology, audit and business functions.
• Support major system implementations and remediation programmes.
• Drive simplification initiatives and enhance the overall control framework.
• Shape a robust reporting environment while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Influence key processes and strengthen governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting control, financial reporting and governance.
• Ability to work closely with finance, technology, audit and business teams.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with exposure to senior leadership.
• Track record of delivering improvements in control environments.
