Accounting Manager – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

The Accounting Manager will join our finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis to support corporate accounting and accounting operations during a NetSuite ERP reimplementation. You will ensure continuity of month‑end close, financial reporting and compliance while working independently across a range of accounting and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, fixed‑asset and intangible‑asset transactions.
• Analyze fixed‑asset, lease and intangible‑asset schedules; investigate unusual balances and reconcile items.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, meeting established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX controls and internal accounting policies.
• Gather information for the NetSuite ERP reimplementation, track open items and support project deliverables.
• Assist with NetSuite data cleansing, migration readiness and validation of financial‑statement data integrations.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to corporate accounting and accounting operations, including process‑improvement initiatives and special projects.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CPA Canada or U.S. CPA preferred).
• 5–7 years of progressive corporate, public‑accounting or accounting‑operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of general‑ledger accounting, month‑end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Ability to manage priorities independently, meet deadlines and communicate progress.
