Accounts Assistant – Full‑time, Competitive Salary

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team at Four Jays for an Accounts Assistant. Four Jays, part of the Heathcote Holdings group, is an integrated business supplying the needs of all types of welfare hire across the South East. The company prides itself on providing solutions to clients promptly and professionally while continuing to expand within a rapidly moving sector.

Key responsibilities

• Invoicing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using our hire software MCS.
• Assisting the credit controller with debt collection and management.
• Reconciling monies and liaising closely with the hire desk.
• Managing all aspects of the purchase ledger, including inputting purchase invoices, reconciling statements and creating payments.
• Reconciling the company credit card.
• Assisting with month‑end journals for pre‑payments, accruals and deferred income.
• Providing support for other group tasks as required.

Required profile

• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Desirable: experience with Xero accounting software.
• Desirable: experience with plant‑hire software (MCS).
