About the role
This full‑time Accounts Assistant position offers a great entry point for someone starting their accounting career. You will gain hands‑on experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and general bookkeeping while receiving support and mentoring from an experienced finance team.
Key responsibilities
- Process purchase invoices and reconcile supplier statements
- Raise sales invoices and chase outstanding payments
- Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding billing and payment issues
- Process expense claims
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Monitor the accounts email inbox
- Support month‑end and year‑end processes
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Required profile
- GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently
- Team player with strong attention to detail
- Good communication, organisational and time‑management skills

- Microsoft Excel
