Accounts Assistant

About the role

This full‑time Accounts Assistant role sits within a well‑established finance team in Slough. You will support a range of finance operations, from timesheet processing to client invoicing, providing a broad exposure to day‑to‑day accounting activities in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily timesheet submissions and produce month‑end reports.
• Process and code supplier invoices, ensuring proper authorisation.
• Handle supplier payments, resolve invoice queries and reconcile statements.
• Process employee expense claims and reconcile petty cash and credit‑card transactions.
• Raise and issue client invoices, post cash receipts and maintain the sales ledger.
• Administer client money accounts, including receipts and payments.
• Maintain accurate finance records, digital filing systems and support ad‑hoc finance queries.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar role.
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to build relationships with stakeholders.
