Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Assistant will support the PR and Partnerships finance team by handling billing, vendor set‑up, and expense verification. This temporary, full‑time position is based in London and offers the chance to work within a dynamic sports, marketing and media environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process billing for PR and Partnerships, including obtaining purchase order numbers.
• Identify and collect missing information such as signed contracts.
• Resolve billing issues and respond to billing queries.
• Verify and record expense support for client billing.
• Raise credit notes when required.
• Complete new vendor set‑up forms and portal registrations.
• Validate banking details and ensure receipt of tax documents.
• Run job reports as directed by account teams.
• Code and submit vendor invoices for the PR and Partnerships business.
• Advise accounts teams on payment dates for vendor invoices.
• Distribute weekly AR & AP reports to account leads.
• Perform other ad‑hoc finance tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Hands‑on exposure to CRM systems.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and numeracy.
• Good communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently on routine tasks.
• Knowledge of the SAP accounting system (desirable).
• Flexible, adaptable and willing to take on new tasks.
• Organised with the ability to prioritise, multitask and meet strict deadlines.
• Interest in the sports, marketing or media industry.
