Accounts Assistant

About the role

This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team in the Medway Towns. Initially hired on a temporary basis, the role may evolve into a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the potential to become permanent, making it ideal for candidates seeking long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase orders using SAP
• Raise and process customer and supplier invoices
• Reconcile customer and supplier accounts
• Record bank transactions, expenses and multi‑currency payments
• Assist with payment runs (BACS & TT)
• Resolve account queries and liaise with internal departments
• Produce aged debtor and creditor reports
• Support the wider finance team as required

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar finance role
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills

Required skills

• SAP (advantageous but not essential)
