Accounts Assistant Manager

About the role
A leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Leeds is seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Accounts Assistant Manager to review accounts assignments, manage client relationships and support the development of the junior team.
Key responsibilities
- Review and manage accounts assignments across a varied client portfolio.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships.
- Support managers and partners on complex assignments and technical matters.
- Oversee workflow to ensure assignments are delivered on time and to standard.
- Supervise and coach junior and semi‑senior team members.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified with solid experience in accounts preparation and review.
- Minimum four years’ experience within a UK practice environment.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and meet deadlines.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Confident client‑facing manner with ambition to progress into a leadership role.
