Accounts & Audit Senior

About the role

TPF Recruitment is looking for an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to join a leading accounting firm in Eastbourne. The role combines audit work (around 75%) with accounts preparation (25%) and is ideal for a qualified ACA/ACCA or an AAT‑qualified professional with solid practice experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist managers with the preparation of client accounts and tax compliance.
• Participate in audit planning, fieldwork and the completion of audit files.
• Deliver audit work for a variety of clients, including charities and solicitors where applicable.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with current accounting and audit legislation.
• Develop and nurture professional relationships with clients and internal teams.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification, or AAT qualification with extensive practice experience.
• Minimum three years’ experience in an audit/accounting practice.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of UK accounting standards (FRS 105, FRS 102) and audit legislation.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
