Accounts & Audit Senior

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established, independent accountancy practice in North London that is seeking an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior. This full‑time position offers a varied mix of accounts, audit and tax work across a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Prepare personal tax returns.
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion (approximately 25% of the role).
• Liaise directly with clients and respond to day‑to‑day queries.
• Support ad‑hoc assignments and technical projects.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent qualification by experience).
• Recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Confident in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Experience with personal tax compliance.
• Ability to lead audits or assist on audit engagements.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
