Accounts & Business Advisory Manager

About the role

Talent Finance is partnering with a fast‑growing advisory firm seeking an Accounts & Business Advisory Manager. The role is client‑facing, working with owner‑managed SMEs to provide commercial decision support, financial planning and strategic advice beyond traditional compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Review management information and identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls and reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow planning.
• Provide financial insight and analysis to aid client decision‑making.
• Work closely with business owners to understand challenges and pinpoint improvement opportunities.
• Assist business planning, growth initiatives and operational projects.
• Contribute to advisory assignments across a diverse SME portfolio.
• Support exit planning strategies, including MBO and trade sale projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted point of contact.

Required profile

• Experience in an independent accountancy practice, preferably within accounts, business services or advisory.
• Proven experience preparing management accounts and working directly with SME clients.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Commercial curiosity and genuine interest in how businesses operate.
• ACA, ACCA qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach.
