Accounts Manager – Agriculture

About the role

Join one of the South West’s largest independent chartered accountancy practices as an Accounts Manager specialising in agriculture. You will work with a portfolio of farming and land‑owner clients, delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services while enjoying a hybrid working model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of agriculture clients, preparing annual accounts and business tax computations.
• Provide advice on remuneration planning, profit forecasts and capital tax matters.
• Review VAT returns and identify tax‑efficient commercial opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and represent the firm at industry events.
• Mentor and support junior team members.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience managing your own client portfolio.
• Experience with, or genuine interest in, rural/agriculture/farming clients.
• Ability to mentor and lead junior staff.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Xero.
• Proficiency with Sage.
