Accounts Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a growing accountancy practice that specialises in agricultural and rural businesses. You will provide expert accounting and tax advice while developing strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare and review personal, corporation tax and VAT returns.
• Manage a portfolio of agricultural and rural business clients.
• Attend client meetings and deliver expert accounting and tax advice.
• Oversee workflow to ensure deadlines and budgets are met.
• Delegate work, mentor and support junior team members.
• Identify and implement improvements to systems and internal processes.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Minimum five years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting, tax and VAT regulations.
• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Excellent client relationship management and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, organisational ability and deadline management.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

Required skills

• Xero accounting software.
• IRIS accounting software (advantageous).
