About the role
We are partnering with a leading Chartered Accountants firm in Penrith to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. This permanent, full‑time position offers flexible working and a clear career progression path within a respected practice serving Cumbria and the wider North West.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a varied portfolio of accountancy clients.
- Prepare statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Review work completed by junior team members.
- Liaise directly with clients on accounts and advisory matters.
- Support the training and development of junior staff.
Required profile
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
- Previous experience working within a UK practice environment.
- Strong technical accounts preparation skills.
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
