About the role

We are partnering with a leading Chartered Accountants firm in Penrith to recruit an experienced Accounts Manager. This permanent, full‑time position offers flexible working and a clear career progression path within a respected practice serving Cumbria and the wider North West.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a varied portfolio of accountancy clients.
  • Prepare statutory accounts and management accounts.
  • Review work completed by junior team members.
  • Liaise directly with clients on accounts and advisory matters.
  • Support the training and development of junior staff.

Required profile

  • ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or qualified by experience).
  • Previous experience working within a UK practice environment.
  • Strong technical accounts preparation skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
