Accounts Manager – Poole

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our growing practice in Poole. You will work closely with partners and directors, managing a diverse client portfolio while supporting the development of junior colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements for a varied client base.
• Prepare corporate and personal tax returns.
• Review VAT returns and ensure compliance with current legislation.
• Manage and develop strong client relationships as a trusted point of contact.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with partners and directors on client projects and specialist assignments.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, or part‑qualified/qualified‑by‑experience with significant practice experience.
• Strong technical background gained within an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build lasting client relationships.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and supporting junior staff is advantageous.
