Accounts Manager (Practice)

About the role

Building long‑term relationships with clients is at the heart of this accountancy practice. The Accounts Manager will join the Chard office, working with a varied portfolio of clients to deliver exceptional service and support the practice’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as their primary point of contact
• Reviewing statutory accounts, tax returns and VAT returns, ensuring work is completed accurately and on time
• Preparing reports and providing practical advice to support clients with their accounting and taxation requirements
• Monitoring workflow and ensuring key deadlines are met across your portfolio
• Supporting the Directors with a range of client assignments and practice initiatives
• Assisting with new client enquiries and helping to develop the firm’s growing client base

Required profile

• Experienced accountant with a strong background in an accountancy practice
• Proven experience managing a portfolio of clients
• ACA or ACCA qualification (advantageous) or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to build long‑term relationships with clients and colleagues
