Accounts Manager / Senior Manager

About the role

Clark Wood is partnering with an established independent firm of Chartered Accountants to hire an experienced Accounts Manager / Senior Manager. The role is ideal for an ACA or ACCA qualified professional who wants to broaden their practice experience across agricultural and construction clients while progressing towards senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage tax compliance, including returns and advisory for a diverse portfolio.
• Conduct audit engagements and provide audit support.
• Deliver advisory services, including succession planning and probate work.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Contribute to business development and support junior staff.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience).
• Minimum five years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high‑quality technical work.
• Interest in working with rural, agricultural and construction businesses.
