Accounts Payable Assistant – Graduate Fixed‑Term Role

About the role

We are partnering with a respected client to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant on a fixed‑term graduate programme. This entry‑level position offers full training and a clear pathway into finance, allowing you to apply your recent degree in a commercial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Request monthly statements from suppliers and follow up on missing paperwork.
• Match invoices and credit notes to supplier statements to verify accuracy.
• Raise query sheets for disputed or incorrect invoices.
• Reconcile supplier statements with internal records and prepare payment runs.
• Assist the Finance Manager with cash postings and general administrative tasks.
• Answer supplier calls and route queries to the appropriate teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• Well‑organised with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a close‑knit team.
