Accounts Payable Assistant (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking two experienced Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger Assistants to join an established finance team on a full‑time temporary basis. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work remotely after initial training while supporting the full accounts payable process for a minimum four‑month assignment.

Key responsibilities

• Validate invoices and purchase orders using internal software to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Resolve supplier queries and ensure payments are made according to agreed terms.
• Process payments, credit notes and create journals in line with payment policies.
• Receive and reconcile supplier statements.
• Communicate supplier issues internally to achieve prompt resolution.
• Liaise with suppliers via email, phone and Microsoft Teams, using multiple systems as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger functions.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload after training.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction.
