Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

Our client is expanding its finance team and is looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Assistant. You will join a centralised finance support function, handling purchase ledger tasks, payments and general administrative duties.

Key responsibilities

• Enter invoices into the general ledger software, ensuring validity, accuracy and proper authorisation.
• Prepare and maintain bank reconciliations for review.
• Assist with online bank payments as required.
• Support the onboarding of new businesses and set up new suppliers in the system.
• Respond to queries from internal stakeholders and third‑party suppliers.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounts department.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using general ledger or accounting software.
