Accounts Payable Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Payable Assistant will join a busy finance team to process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments. Working on a hybrid schedule, you will spend two days in the Emersons Green area of Bristol and three days working from home. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract offering a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain the purchase ledger and reconcile supplier statements.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies through problem‑solving and communication.
• Gather and transfer data across multiple finance systems.
• Support timely payment runs to maintain good supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable functions.
• Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills.
• Strong administrative ability and capacity to multitask.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to ask questions to resolve issues.
• Comfortable working with various finance systems.
